Admission Requirement

We encourage the students from all fronts for all the AEC courses. A minimum of 55% provision (aggregate of core subjects in the recent higher education) is accepted as the primary admission criteria.

Additional requirements - Language Proficiency

The course content and curriculum follow the English language, and high proficiency with the language is highly encouraged to better the course’s success. As such, every student must meet the minimum requirements of the test for the application process.

An IELTS score of 6.0 is expected with no band less than 6.0 (or) an overall 6.5 with no band less than 5.5

CAEL – Canadian Academic English Language Assessment 60 overall or more

French Language Requirement – Programs Offered in English (AEC) In accordance with the Charter of the French Language, particularly section 88.0.18, any student enrolled in an English-language program leading to an Attestation of College Studies (AEC) must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of French, unless they hold a certificate of eligibility for instruction in English.
Requirements Students who do not hold a certificate of eligibility for instruction in English must demonstrate adequate proficiency in French in order to obtain their AEC. This requirement is part of the Act respecting French, the official and common language of Québec (Bill 14), resulting from Bill 96.
French Proficiency Evaluation Proof of French proficiency must be provided through one of the following recognized standardized tests:
  • DELF
  • TEFAQ
  • TEF
  • TEF Canada
Test results must be submitted to the College.
Minimum Required Levels To meet graduation requirements, results must demonstrate the following minimum levels, as defined by the Québec scale of French proficiency levels:
  • Written French (comprehension and production): Level 4
  • Spoken French (comprehension and production): Level 7
Exemption Students who hold a certificate of eligibility for instruction in English are exempt from this requirement.
